We are excited to announce that there is a new Right to Counsel hotline for tenants.

Those who are facing eviction in Right to Counsel zip codes can call this hotline to see if they are eligible for a lawyer and get more information about how the law works.

The hotline will run from Monday-Friday, 9AM-5PM and will be in English and Spanish, with the ability to take calls in all languages using the Language Line.

Remember, the law is currently in effect for eligible tenants facing eviction in these 4 Brooklyn zip codes: 11216, 11221, 11225, 11226

NYCHA tenants, age 62+, facing a termination of tenancy proceeding at 803 Atlantic Ave may also be eligible for a lawyer regardless of their zip code. 

Right to Counsel is currently being phased in by zip codes, but it will be available citywide by 2022. You can learn more about how the law works here.
