In December 2020, New York State tenants won eviction protections with the passage of the COVID-19 Emergency Eviction and Foreclosure Prevention Act. The law enables most tenants to delay their evictions until August 31st if they submit a hardship declaration form. 

Using EvictionFreeNY.org enables you to:

✅  Fill out your hardship declaration form online

✅  Automatically populate your landlord's information if you live in NYC

✅  Send your form by email to your landlord and the courts

✅  Send your form by USPS Certified Mail for FREE to your landlord
