City Council is voting on two of our bills to expand and strengthen Right to Counsel on Thursday, April 29th!

Join us for a rally at 11:00am before the vote to demand they VOTE YES, fully fund our bills, and push to keep the courts closed!

What are the two bills City Council is voting on?

Intro 2050 will immediately implement Right to Counsel across NYC, pushing up FULL implementation of RTC by more than a year. Due to the public health and economic crises wrought by COVID-19, tenants across NYC need RTC now! No case should move forward without RTC. 

Intro 1529 will support community organizing and education about Right to Counsel. With the State rapidly issuing new policies during the crisis, it is even more important that we invest in tenant organizing, which builds networks across the city that keep tenants informed and supported.
